Some people follow God because He is useful. They follow God because they know of the blessings that He promises to those who obey Him. They are like those who are taking a music appreciation class and listen to Mozart because it will lead to a good grade. Such is the way of the non-Christian.
Others follow God because He is beautiful. They follow God because they love Him. They are like those who enter a music store and spend their money on Mozart CD’s because they love listening to Mozart. Such is the way of the Christian.
“One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the LORD” (Psalm 27:4).
